The Harvard Radcliffe Institute’s Student Advisory Board (SAB) serves as the connective tissue between Radcliffe and Harvard students, amplifying the Institute’s mission and values across campus. Recognizing Radcliffe’s unique interdisciplinary role at the University, the SAB creates spaces for cross-disciplinary connection. By centering student voices, the SAB ensures that programming and initiatives reflect the needs and interests of the student community.

Harvard Radcliffe is seeking Radcliffe-affiliated students who are eager and excited about interdisciplinary and engaged work to join Radcliffe’s Student Advisory Board. This is an opportunity to collaborate, create, and help foster connections between Radcliffe and the broader Harvard community. A strong candidate is someone interested in taking on a student leadership role at Radcliffe and creating opportunities for Radcliffe-affiliated students to connect across programs, and who is knowledgeable about the student experience at Harvard and at Radcliffe.

 Student Advisory Board Core Responsibilities

  • Attend all board meetings, which will be scheduled in consultation with all board members

  • Attend at least one Radcliffe student-facing or public event per semester (i.e., student discussions/lunches with invited speakers, public lectures or symposia, gallery talks, Radcliffe student community gatherings, etc.)

  • Grow and deepen diverse student experiences within Radcliffe, working to build bridges with students inside and outside of Radcliffe’s campus

  • Engage and represent students from Radcliffe’s programs, including at open houses, student fairs, and orientations; support communication efforts; serve as a liaison between Radcliffe-affiliated students and Radcliffe staff; synthesize student feedback for Radcliffe faculty and staff

  • Advise on aspects of student life at Harvard and share your perspective as a student, helping Radcliffe to shape its programs accordingly as we strive to embed Radcliffe more deeply in student life.
