Description

Our program encourages intellectual risk-taking as participants gather in an intensive seminar setting to explore new fields of research and inquiry. Hundreds of Harvard faculty members and Radcliffe fellows have benefited from this program, which challenges its participants to reimagine the boundaries of knowledge through multidisciplinary discussion.

Eligibility

Harvard ladder (tenured or tenure-track) faculty members from any Harvard School are eligible to apply to the Exploratory Seminar program. (Note: In addition to professors on the ladder track, clinical (full) professors at Harvard Law School and instructors from Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine are also eligible to apply as lead applicants.) Current or former Radcliffe fellows are also eligible to apply as lead applicants.

Adjunct faculty members, lecturers, preceptors, professors of the practice, research professors, and professors emeriti are not eligible to serve as lead applicants. However, an individual who is otherwise ineligible may apply as a co-applicant with a lead applicant who meets eligibility requirements.
